Red Hot and Blues!

Our Red Hot and Blues fundraiser in October was our most successful yet!  We raised over $90,000 for the Health Center, thanks to corporate and individual sponsors and in-kind and silent auction sponsors who contributed to a wonderful evening of celebration.

We are proud to have honored the following Community Champions, who work tirelessly to improve the health of Allston, Brighton and Waltham:

Juan Gonzalez (Allston-Brighton Community Development Corporation) recognized for his dedication and commitment to engaging, educating and empowering Allston-Brighton's Latino and other diverse residents to work towards improving the public health of their community.

State Representative Peter J. Koutoujian, Jr., House Chairman, Joint Committee on Public Health, for his unwavering support and advocacy at the State House to ensure the Health Center continues to provide high quality, culturally compassionate and affordable care to the most vulnerable members of the Waltham community, and to his long-standing commitment to addressing the public health issues affecting the Commonwealth. 

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, conferred with our first Corporate Community Champion award for its dedication and commitment to supporting the adoption of electronic medical records technology at the Health Center, and for its overall support of community health centers to improve the delivery of health care, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities for the most vulnerable patients in the Commonwealth.
