Leonard Contardo, OD, is a graduate of New England College of Optometry. He also holds a B.A. from UMass Boston in biology. He was in private practice in Boston and Worcester for eighteen years, and for the last twelve has headed the optometry department of Great Brook Valley Health Center in Worcester. He has served on the Mass Board of Registration in Optometry, the Worcester Committee for the Underserved, and as a member of the board of directors of the North End Community Health Center. In 1987, he spent time in the jungle of Colombia examining the teeth of the native population.
